Energy density now 460 Whr/kg. Expected to increase shortly
The Graphene is synthetically produced. No mining or child labor involved.
Life Cycle: With the 500,000+ life cycles with negligible degradation a 20 year warranty is offered. Comparing this to typical Li-Ion life cycles of about 6,000 cycles (which can only be cycled 1x / day otherwise the warranty could be voided) our products last at least twice as long. Li-Ion has to be exchanged every 10 or so years so the real ROI is doubled with our products. Or thinking about it the other way the original CAPEX is less than half. Considering OPEX: With our product there is absolutely little maintenance. No service contracts. A well known Li-Ion battery producer charges exorbitant annual service fees (whether you like it or not) that greatly increase the overall lifetime cost of ownership, i.e. forced increased OPEX.
Cycles per day. Typical Li-Ion can only be cycled 1x / day. Otherwise the warranty could be voided (read the small print).
Thermal: There is really nothing that would cause any thermal runaway either by charging and discharging. That means no fires. This means closer spacing possible = small footprint and also means lower insurance rates. Peace of mind with local residents and business owners.
Response times: Nanoseconds – Li-Ion can’t touch that.
Operating Temp range: From a desert to a snow capped mountain if the ambient temperature is within this range -30°C (-22°F) to 60°C (140°F) it works and works without any HVAC needed.
Charging rates: If for example one only has a small solar window to charge, or the window to charge via the grid at night is very short then a higher charge rate can be specified. These higher charge rates do not degrade the ESS though!
CAPEX: Considering the much longer lifetime of EES, the CAPEX is considerably lower than that of Li-Ion for example.
Delivery times: As I understand, the typical delivery time for a Utility scale Li-Ion unit is 12-18 months. We have 2-4 months max.
All of the products do NOT come from China. Rather originate in the UAE. For the US market the smaller units 8-48kWhr, are Made in USA.
